One man is dead and two other people have been wounded after two separate shootings in Yakima early Saturday, police reported in a Saturday afternoon news release.

Reports of the first shooting came in about 2 a.m.. Saturday, when Yakima Police Department officers answered a call about shots fired at the Mesa Apartments on Gordon Road. Officers found 25-year-old Raymond Barnes and 27-year-old April Wiltse-Emery in separate apartments suffering from gunshot wounds. Wiltse-Emery had been shot in the head, and Barnes was hit once in the torso. Both were transported to a local hospital, and Wiltse-Emery was eventually transferred to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center. Police had no details on the conditions of either.

A second shooting call came in at 3:05 a.m. Saturday -- a report of a body in an alley in the 400 block of South Ninth Street, according to the YPD release. The body turned out to be 27-year-old Manuel Pantaleon, who was dead after suffering a gunshot wound to his head. Police think Pantaleon was at a party about a block from where he was found.

The latest shootings come just one day after a 20-year-old was found shot to death near and Fifth Avenue D Street, but police don't think that shooting is related to Saturday's incidents.

Police say they haven't made any arrests yet.
