Yakima Valley community member Ashley White noticed a need for local entrepreneurs, business owners and community leaders to network in providing community resources.

Thus began the creation of Yakima's first ever Urban Development Expo. This networking event will be held in Yakima at the Red Lion Hotel Yakima Center (607 Yakima Ave) on Saturday, November 17th from 4pm to 7pm. Admission to the event is $9 for adults (children are free) and there will be food, an on-site kids play area, and other family friendly accommodations.

White says her goal for this expo is to "support economic growth, create healthy relationships and provide equal and fair networking opportunities for those seeking new business connections, job opportunities, and much needed community resources."

If you are looking for new products and services being offered in our community, looking for available resources to get your new business up and running or if you are a job seeker, perhaps you will find just what you are looking for at the Urban Development Expo!

If you would like to be a vendor at the Expo, contact Ashley by email at ashleyinvestments@icloud.com or by phone at 509-823-3472. Booth spaces are $45 for a 10x10 space or $25 for a 4x5 space. Here is your chance to perhaps get your new business off on the ground by finding new customers or by educating the public about a community service that your company or organization provides, including economic and financial resources.

The Urban Development Project is organized by Ashley L. White, founder of an arts & education club in Yakima, WA called AshThePainter. To learn more about her work, visit www.therealashthepainter.com.
