Last year when my daughter was five years old, she had her first taste of going fishing at Sarg Hubbard Park. I signed her up for the Kids' Fish-In, and on that sunny Saturday, she received her very own fishing rod and a cute little t-shirt.

Since my kiddo was so small, I ended up doing all of the work at the fish-in and got the bait hook stuck in my hair, as well as tangled up the rod wire in other people's lines. It was a hot mess, but Willow had fun, and that's all that matters.

We still have the fishing rod hanging up in the closet, and we haven't used it since last year. Now that she's a bit older, I know she'll be excited to attend again the Fish-In this year! I'm going to make sure SHE does all the baiting this time around! HA!
