Yakima-Man! Meet Yakima’s Not-So-Super Hero!

If you're looking for a good way to pass the time, all you need is a Yakima Herald-Republic newspaper and some creativity. Look at the headlines and put a twist on the reports. Turn the criminal activity into crazy accidental mishaps of Yakima-Man! Here are some of my favorites in recent days:

• "Yakima Man arrested in raid near Selah charged with growing pot, possessing stolen Grumpy’s gun."
• "Yakima Man sentenced to 27 years in Harrah-area killing."
• "Yakima Man gets 10 years for holdup, shooting."
• "Yakima Man charged in Plath shooting."
• "Yakima Man suspected of extorting underage Ellensburg teens for porn."
• "Yakima Man arrested after chase through east Yakima."

And finally, of course, "Yakima Man fatally shot outside home." Maybe the public got tired of Yakima-Man and his shenanigans. Who knows? All I know is this won't be the end of Yakima-Man. He will be back again, I'm sure. Look for him in the future and keep an eye out for other city and state superheroes in the news!
