Yakima Police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the robbery of the 7-11 store at 16th and Summitview on Tuesday. Officers were called to the store at 1512 Summitview Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday after an armed robbery was reported. Police say a man walked into the store with a gun and demanded cash. He grabbed the cash and ran from the store. Officers searching the area found the suspect and arrested him after a short chase.
The man is in the Yakima County jail on charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, obstructing police and resisting arrest. He's expected to be in court later Today.
