Will Yakima, Sunnyside, Ellensburg, and Tri Cities Cinemas Have a $3 Movies on Saturday?

If you haven't heard by now, movie theaters all across America are going to implement a $3 movie day on September 3rd. Will Yakima cinemas get to have a $3 movie Day this Saturday? The National Cinema Foundation organization is sponsoring this national event in honor of the grand return to the movies since the coronavirus pandemic.

Thousands of movie theaters were able to take advantage of the Paycheck Protection Program during the COVID years, better known as PPP Loans. You can look up how much money movie theaters in Washington state received in PPP loans here by typing in WA for Washington state and selecting "Motion Picture Theaters (Except Drive-Ins)."

HOW TO FIND OUT IF YOUR THEATER IS DOING THE $3 MOVIE DAY

To find out if your local movie theater in Washington state is participating in the National Movie Day, visit https://www.nationalcinemaday.org/ and scroll down to type in your local zip code. Once you press enter, you will see a selection of cities near you. Once you select a city, you will next either see a selection of local movie theaters pop up or you will get a message telling you that there are no movie theaters available in your area.
