Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened in Yakima early! They were set to open this weekend (March 26) but, according to the general manager, there was enough people who stopped by that they decided to open early. I had to check it out for myself. Here's a look inside and what you can expect.

You can find Dickey's BBQ Pit at the old Red Robin in the Nob Hill Plaza. I didn't know what to expect, but was plesntly surprised how quick the service was! You order at the counter, they put the food on your plate, hot and fresh and sliced or chopped right in front of you. Down the line they ask what sides you want. I opted for the mac n' cheese and fried okra. I hadn't had fried okra since I lived in Casper, Wyoming 5 years ago. It's very, very good, I'd recommend it. Grab a drink with free refills. Opt for pecan pie or cookies (I grabbed the pie) and have sit and dig in! They have three sauces you can choose (also free) I like heat so I grabbed the original and spicy. Both were great! Also, free ice cream for everyone! Yep, unlimited free ice cream with your visit.

I'm already a fan of this place. I'm looking forward to going back with the rest of my family. I know my kids will love it because there are enough options from ribs to chicken to pulled pork and so much more that there truly is something for everyone.
