Minecraft has taken the world by storm. A game based on creating and building your own world has since spawned its own clothing line, toys and even full-blown Minecraft conventions. At this year's E3 they announced a new way to play Minecraft, either on your wall or in 3D on a table or other flat service with the use of a new VR headset.

Using the new Microsoft Hololens you can play the game without a television. Just look at any wall and that becomes your surface. If you want to take it to a new level, find a flat surface like the floor or table and you can see and manipulate your world in 3D. You can even see what's underneath by picking it up.

This is technology I can't fathom without actually playing it, but as you can see in the working demo, it looks amazing. I know several people who play Minecraft who will love this.

There's no set date on the release of the Microsoft Hololens, yet, or the price, but it'll be around the same time as Windows 10 is released and I'm sure it won't be cheap. Still, this is something that's worth looking out for.
