Cardi B is outspoken and passionate when it comes to her thoughts on President Trump, the government and the political discourse in this country. While some have laughed at the Bronx rapper for jumping into the political space, others have shown support. The rapper's former AP Government teacher, Joan Hill, stands with the latter. Last week, Hill used a Facebook post to call out anyone who thinks that Cardi should just remain quiet when it comes to politics.

"For those of you on my feed who are trashing Cardi B for representing a political voice, a) she probably scored higher than you on the US History regents exam and was in my AP govt class," Hill began in a post last Thursday (Jan. 31). "B) you're not nearly as busy as her and what have you done to advance the political discourse in this country?"

She ended the post with telling her former student's haters to "STFU and take a seat."

Hill isn't the only one who appreciates Cardi's outspokenness. At the 2019 Women's March a last month, tons of protestors carried signs with direct quotes from Cardi's rant about the government shutdown, and recently Iowa Democrats invited Cardi to speak at an upcoming Democratic reception in Iowa.

Just this week, Cardi continued to use her platform by speaking out against Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren after Lahren mocked the rapper's "Bartier Cardi" collaborator 21 Savage for being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"Don’t make me get my leash," Cardi warned.
