You'll be on your feet and walking around more than you might think. Bring some comfy shoes.

Bring any type of bag you're comfortable bringing, really. I use a messenger bag, myself. Not just to hold your souvenirs and purchases, but many booths will have free promotional items. You'll want to keep those safe.

The convenience of cash is far too handy. Some vendors may not accept cards and you won't want those deals to slip away. I'd go further to make sure you bring some ones and fives for vending machines they may have there, too.

When you're at conventions, you'll probably be taking photos and videos and posting them on social media networks. That will drain your battery quickly. Make sure your phone is charged and, if you can, bring your charger so you can recharge your phone while resting.

If you're a gamer like me, you'll want to remember to grab your Nintendo 3DS (or 2DS). Many people bring them to shows like this to obtain street passes from others who bring theirs. It's an easy way to obtain a lot of street passes in one place.

You'll need your energy for the day. Make sure you grab something to eat before you arrive. Yes, there are a few places to eat within proximity, but you probably won't want to leave if you can avoid it.
