America is known to be a land of immigrants, and Coldplay celebrated the country's diverse legacy in their new video for "Miracles (Someone Special)," off their latest Kaleidoscope EP.

Using historical photos, the video takes us back to the 19th century to show how people from other countries immigrated to the United States.

From families bringing whatever they could carry to how the Statue of Liberty was constructed, the "Miracles" video showcases America's diversity across powerful images — with key lyrics written across many of them — and how it continues to change today.

The video was directed by Ben Mor, who also did the band's visual for "Hymn For The Weekend."

Neither the band nor Big Sean, who's featured on the track, actually appear in the video. But don't worry: you won't miss them too much once you take in the visual's moving message.
