Deputies Find Burned Body Near Wapato Tuesday

A body has been discovered in a burning car in an orchard near Wapato and Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for answers in what authorities are calling a homicide.

The investigation started Tuesday night

An investigation was started Tuesday night when the body was found burned in a car on fire in th 2500 block of Riggs Road. A press release says the Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice is scheduling an autopsy. No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing.
