Cardi B Embraces Her Dominican Roots in El Alfa’s “Mi Mami” Video

Cardi B gets in touch with her Dominican roots by linking up with El Alfa in his new video for "Mi Mami," a Bardi-assisted track he dropped earlier today (Nov. 2).

The Bronx rhymer announced the arrival of the new visual by uploading a preview of the colorful clip on Instagram. "MI MAMI VIDEO OUT NOW!!!! @ellafaeljefe ft me .... CHECK IT OUT NOW!," she wrote as the caption for the post.

In the music video, Cardi dons an all-white outfit as she stands in front of a huge popcorn box and switches things up in black attire as she flaunts her curves in a sexy pose on a couch. Bardi and El Alfa play off each other's energy throughout the video as dancers flex their skills and pink pineapples sing to the lyrics (yes, you read that right).

For the track itself, Bardi spits in Spanish as she raps about hitting in the sheets with her boo. "Yo quiero senti el mejor/En mi cama haciéndome el amor/Right now," she raps on the mellow groove.

This isn't the first time that Bardi has shown her versatility as an artist. When putting together her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, she teamed up with Bad Bunny and J Balvin for "I Like It," which went platinum in July.

In other Cardi-related news, the rhymer is launching her own collection with Fashion Nova later this month. She also graces the new cover of People En Español. In the interview for the cover story, she revealed that being a mom is her greatest achievement. She also wants her daughter, Kulture, to learn Spanish as well.
