Federal Employees Get Christmas Eve Off; Will Post Office Close?
Federal employees just got some great news from the White House that they have Christmas Eve (Monday, December 24th) off with pay. The day before or after Christmas is traditionally granted Presidents.
The day off generally impacts federal agencies, executive departments but how will this impact mail deliveries?
According to the USPS Post Office website, all local post offices will close early on Christmas Eve, and each location will post their holiday hours. Customers can use tools.usps.com to find a location that may be open later during holiday hours.
All post offices will be closed for deliveries on Christmas and New Year's Day and will reopen the following days.
