Frank Ocean fans, consider this a very special (if not last-minute) Valentine's Day treat: On Wednesday evening, Ocean dropped a surprise cover of "Moon River" on his Tumblr page.

Featuring sparse production anchored by an electric guitar and keyboard, the power of Ocean's moving rendition rests on the rapper's intoxicating vocal performance, which finds his vocals layered atop one another, woven into a beautiful tapestry of melody.

The unexpected cover was released alongside this simple caption: "In the late nite."

Written by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer in 1962, "Moon River" was made famous by Audrey Hepburn, who sung it in the iconic film Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Listen to Ocean's take on the track, below:

Ocean released a handful of songs in 2017, including “Biking (Solo),” "Provider" and “RAF,” a collaboration with A$AP Rocky.

The artist's debut album, Channel Orange, was released in 2012. In 2016, Ocean released two independent albums: Endless and Blonde.
