So what does National American Beer Day mean? Pretty much means that if you enjoy Heineken... GET OUT OF OUR MY COUNTRY... or at least don't drink that today. Instead, grab something brewed in the good ole U.S.A.! An all American drink. No, I'm not talking about the fruity b**** pops! Sure they're fruity and awesome, but that's not a beer, no matter how much my significant other may say it is. I'm talking about the concoction created from malting, milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, fermenting, (probably a couple more steps), but the best one... enjoying!

Why is it a Holiday?

Beer has been brewed for a very long time! Even before Europeans came to America, beer was being made! Native Americans were using stuff like corn and tree sap and getting fermentation. When settlers did finally arrive, they combined techniques and boom... THE FIRST THANKSGIVING! (Probably not, but that's the new spin I'm taking on this... and yes, I'm enjoying a beer while I'm writing this).

How To Celebrate National American Beer Day

I'm sure you know how to celebrate National American Beer Day. Just please, when you do celebrate, don't grab a Modelo, Corona or Dos Equis. Those beers are from Mexico. And don't grab any from the north either, I'm talking about Labatt, Molson or Moosehead (yeah that sounds Canadian!) You know what to grab! Just while you're enjoying it, be safe and drink responsibly!
