
The Best Mac & Cheese You’re Gonna Eat in Yakima According to Locals
You can't eat just anybody's mac and cheese. I learned that the hard way. I actually had to spit out the first bite of mac & cheese I tasted at a popular buffet place in town--it was deplorable. Too many times, ordering mac and cheese in a restaurant leaves me sorely disappointed.
I said all that to say, when I find a place that has mac and cheese so yummy, I start dancing, I have to rave about it. In Yakima, sadly this is a rare experience, found only in a handful of restaurants, Don't just take my word for it; these facts are backed up by other Yakima locals.
The perfect mac and cheese noodles are not overcooked and mushy, doesn't taste like a glass of water (ew, gross), and has to be very, very cheesy! It also needs to look good in the bowl.

Where to Find the Best Mac and Cheese in Yakima
You'll have to drive a little bit to find some of the best mac and cheese in Yakima. On the outskirts of town, you can find some "bomb" mac & cheese in Tieton.
On the other side of the Summitview Ave, hang a left at the light at 7th Ave and then zoom your way down Yakima Ave until you reach North 2nd St. You won't be far from another place that has some great mac & cheese, even if it's a got a reputation for being a little bit spicy!
I know that I'm eating some good mac and cheese when I take one bite and it's so good, I start dancing.
