The 4th of July is coming up and there are a few places around Yakima to catch some firework displays. Here are a few you can check out.

When it comes to seeing some fireworks in Yakima, the prime spot is at the fairgrounds for the Yakima 4th of July Celebration. This free event happens every year at State Fair Park and is fun for all ages. Events include live music, live entertainment, ride some carnival rides and they even have a pie eating contest. You're allowed to bring in food or buy something from one of the several vendors who are on site. Yakima Transit even provides free transportation to the fairgrounds, but donations are appreciated.

Firework Display at Legends Casino

If you're in the lower valley, you can always hit up Legends Casino for their free firework display as well. The fireworks launch at dust.

Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration in Prosser

City Park in Prosser (corner of Summers and Seventh) will have it's free annual Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. Fun activities which also include a car show, pageant and live music start at around Noon. You can catch the fireworks at Art Fiker Stadium on Paterson Ave at around 10pm.

Fourth of July Celebration in Sunnyside

Sunnyside Lions Club presents the Fourth of July Celebration which includes a tractor show. Traditionally, there is also a parade, car shoo and vintage tractor show. They'll have a Miss Firecracker pageant later in the day with the fireworks launching when the sun goes down.

Zillah's 4th of July

Zillah holds a family-friendly event at Stewart Park on First Ave. Grilling hamburgers and hot dogs with a firework display at 9:15. You're also welcome to bring your own fireworks to light off if your town prohibits the lighting of fireworks.
