The Cheapest Way to Get Out of Buying Halloween Candy

Halloween always falls on the last day of the month, but maybe your paycheck is already going to something else and you just flat-out can't afford to buy candy. In lieu of feeling bad, here's one method you can try so it doesn't seem like you're super-cheap when, in reality, you totally are. (and that's okay)

Place an empty punch bowl outside with a sign that says PLEASE TAKE ONE.

Would-be trick-or-treaters will think that someone beat them to it and you ran out of candy early. They wouldn't be wrong as you ran out a year ago.

Again, this is a worst case scenario, but when in doubt, might be an idea you could use.
