The Yakima County Auditors Office is busy preparing to certify the general election results on Tuesday and set a date for a recount in the Yakima County Commission Race.

On Monday the certification process begins

Auditor Charles Ross says on Monday the Yakima County Canvassing Board will meet to review the results and vote totals to make sure every ballot has been counted. On Tuesday, certification day when all the ballot counting is officially over the board will then meet again to certify all election results. They'll sign off on forms and take other formal measures to make the end of the election official.

The recount date will be set on Tuesday

The board and Auditor Charles Ross will then set a date for a hand recount of the Yakima County Commission District 3 race. Ross says it's likely the recount date will be tentatively set for December 6 and could take up to two weeks to complete because it'll be a hand recount.

Commissioner LaDon Linde leads the race

After the last ballot count from the general election Yakima County Commissioner LaDon Linde leads Autumn Torres by 87 votes.
127,362 were issued to registered voters for the general election
