Today is National Respect Your cat day!

I find this to be a very interesting national holiday. Now I don't have my own cat and I didn't really grow up with cats but I have been under the impression that you don't own your cat, your cat owns you.

The attitude alone from them would make me think on one hand yes you definitely should respect your cat but is your cat respecting you?
