A great event -- for a great cause -- is coming up May 18 at Zillah's Paradisos del Sol Winery, and we want to get you in for free!

This is super exciting and a great way to give back to the community if you have free time, in search of hours or are interested in the tourism field! The Yakima Trolleys are searching for passionate, highly professional individuals interested in motoring vintage trolleys for the upcoming 2019 season. Candidates need to be at least 18 years old, have a current drivers license and insurance and willing to volunteer on weekends and holidays. The training begins on May 19th, the 24th, and 25th.

Memorial Day weekend Iron + Mortar present Yakima's Hero Challenge, benefitting the EOD Warrior Foundation providing financial assistance and support to active-duty and veteran wounded injured or ill EOD warriors, families of fallen EOD warriors and upkeep of the EOD Memorial. Come on out Saturday, May 27th at Franklin Park to compete like a warrior! There are levels and it's all for a great cause!

Come on out and support Meals on Wheels Friday, May 31st, 2019 from 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the Union Gap Activities Center 1000 Ahtanum Rd in Union Gap. It's FREE for seniors 60 and above and $10 for those under 60. Dinner is from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm there will be country line dancing, with regular dancing from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm including a raffle at 6:30 pm.

Saturday, June 8th downtown Yakima is all about the mile!

The inaugural Virginia Mason Memorial Downtown Yakima Mile is a road Mile race that takes over a beautiful 14-block gradual downhill stretch of Yakima Avenue to runners of all ages and abilities who “want to run their fastest Mile."

There will be multiple heats for the professionals to the novices and all ages as well! Help us spread the word and let's get fit together Yakima!
