Prepare To Take Off @ Yakima Aviation Day 2025
One of my core memories growing up was my dad taking my brother and I to the ‘Yakima Air Fair’.
It happened in the mid-1980s and was so much fun. Going to the Yakima Airport and being able to walk around so many planes, meet the pilots, and watch them perform.
Learning how the planes and helicopters worked, walking up and touching them, looking into the cockpits, feeling like I was a pilot. When the opportunity happened that Yakima had the Blue Angels, oh man, 'Chills of Awesomeness'! Over 35 years later, I still remember the awe and excitement my brother and I had.
Scouring the internet, I found a video from the 7th installment of the Yakima Air Fair that took place on March 16th, 1990. Check out that footage here.
I also stumbled upon archive news footage from Deborah Armstrong, who was on KIMA news in the 90s.
Get ready to make some new memories and help imaginations soar when Yakima Aviation Day 2025 takes off!
