Yakima Federal To Award More Scholarship Money

Yakima Federal Savings and Loan's 44 year legacy of recognizing and rewarding Academic Excellence program continues in 2020.

Yakima Federal has provided over two million dollars in college scholarships to local graduating high school seniors and this year will provide up to 60 scholarships of $2,000 each.

Applicants must be local -residing in Yakima, Kittitas, Benton or Franklin counties -accomplished -graduating in the top 10% of their class and community involved -demonstrating service and leadership during their high school career.

Students must also make a case for lack of a better word, their "worthiness" in the form of a one-page letter outlining future plans, school and life experiences, challenges faced and overcome and the impact of receiving an award.

Students can apply online now at  YakimaFed.com/scholarship.  Scholarship winners will be notified by June 1, 2020.
