I live in an apartment complex, but the house on the corner of our street keeps getting tagged with graffiti. Neighborhood hoodlums have tagged up fences on properties in our alley, too.

One time, I came outside to throw away some trash in our community bin, and someone had tagged their initials on our brand-new garbage bin. The nerve!

Fortunately, I knew a secret way to remove the graffiti (they had used gold spray paint, mind you): Use spray bottle sunscreen and a few cotton balls! It wiped the graffiti clean off the bin without taking off the gray paint on the garbage bin.

Use the City's Portal to Report Graffiti in Your Neighborhood

File a new report with the city by using the YakBack portal. Click on 'Create New Request' then select 'Graffiti' from the pull-down menu.

Type in your contact info (name, address, email, phone number) and then upload photographs of the tagged damage to the property and describe the damage. It does not have to be your own property, so if you see something, file something!
