Yakima Hospital Creates COVID-19 Support Phone Line

The current COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on everyone. Some haven't had a problem dealing with the isolation and all the ways to keep healthy. Others have struggled. As a result Yakima's Virginia Mason Memorial hospital is now offering a free COVID-19 Emotional Support phone line. The number is 509-823-7808.
Hospital officials say social workers and chaplains can help callers deal with isolation, anxiety and stress, and also offer grief and loss support. Callers also have the option of being connected to other programs and services.
A news release from the hospital the line is anonymous and confidential.
The phone line is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
