Free Vaccination Clinic

My wish for you is not to get it.  How you go about that is up to you. BUT...you should know that Wapato Public Schools is partnering with Horizon Pharmacy in Wapato to offer a vaccination clinic open to the public.

Free COVID-19 vaccinations will be available. Anyone 5-years of age and older are eligible to receive a COVID vaccination however those under 18-years of age need parental consent.

Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines will be offered next Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the Simcoe Elementary School Gym.

Irrigation Season In Yakima About To Get Underway

We're not talking flood water or anything like that, but Friday, April 1st, will mark the start of Yakima's 2022 irrigation season for most residential and business customers.

All City of Yakima irrigation systems should be fully operational by April 7th. The few other irrigation systems that operate independently from the City system will also be gearing up during April and should be fully operational by the beginning of May.

Irrigation Supervisor Rich Sanislo:

It’s a good idea for people to spend some time now preparing for the start of the irrigation season...If they need to make repairs to the pipes that are on their property, now is the right time to do that. Customers should also be sure that all of their faucets are turned off before the water starts flowing on April 1st so they avoid any unnecessary flooding when the systems are turned on
