Yakima’s Christmas Trolley Rides With Santa Are Almost Here!
Ding! Ding! Ding! All aboard! Yakima Valley's one-of-a-kind Christmas Trollies!
If you've not followed them already on social media get your booty over there and take care of that business so all the updates can be right at your fingertips.
It's the most wonderful time of the year and wouldn't it be nice to add something to the list that can ONLY BE DONE in our area?
Yes, San Fransisco has trollies but they're electric and the ones in the Yakima are still using the same lines when the railroad was first installed in Yakima. The only spot in the entire country this takes place!
On top of that, we have original trollies, the types that used to run when this all started in the early 1900s that have been worked back into looking like brand new to enjoy! Thanks to the generous donations from the community! Through your incredible generosity, all this is made possible and they are always in need of repairs so if you want to be a part of history, a few extra dollars given goes a long way.
When Can I Ride the Santa Claus Trolley?
The dates have been set!
Santa Claus will make his annual visit to the Yakima Valley Trolleys in December. Assuming Rudolf and the gang don't encounter any problems getting him down here, Santa will be riding aboard the trolley on the 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th of December!
Tickets are $5 per person and the rides begin at 10:00 am and continue to 3:00 pm. Board the trolley at the YVT carbarn on the corner of South Third Avenue and Pine Street. Refreshments will be served, and kids can talk with Santa! Ho ho ho!!
This is a first come first serve event but also remember you can book them for special events as well!
