50 Cent goes to Washington, D.C.

On Wednesday night (Oct. 30), Fif shared on his Instagram page a photo of himself posing with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In the caption, he wrote, “My #1 Lady Nancy Pelosi - Big Changes Coming.”

According to a report The Hill published on Wednesday, the Power creator went to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers and talk about diversity and representation in the entertainment world. Apparently, 50 was also campaigning to have the Starz network remain on Comcast Xfinity.

"Hate it or love it, shows like #Power matter b/c #RepresentationMatters," the U.S. Representative for Illinois's 1st Congressional District Bobby Rush wrote on Twitter. "It is important that we see people who look like us in government AND on the big screen. Thank you @50Cent, @naturinaughton, & @STARZ for coming to speak w/ me about the importance of diverse programming."

As previously reported, 50 slammed Comcast CEO Brian L. Roberts for reportedly planning to drop Starz by Dec. 10. Of course, as you know, the rapper’s hit show Power is on the network, which means, if the reports are true, that viewers won’t be able to watch the series.

"This is the guy fucking up (Power)over at @Comcast for no reason Brian Roberts," 50 wrote in his IG post along with a picture of Roberts. "Mother fucker look like he been pushed around his whole life. He need to chill out, go to a golf course or sit his ass down some where. #lecheminduroi #bransoncognac."

Power is currently airing its final season, and one spin-off is set to premiere in 2020. "POWER BOOK II starts 48 hours after the finale, so stop saying this is the last season," 50 confirmed on IG back in August. "THE PARTY IS NOT OVER."

50 Cent, who has performed a few club gigs this past summer, has not given fans an update on Power's future on Comcast.
