Friday: Valley Mall Drive-Thru Easter Egg Hunt with 800 Eggs

It's Easter Weekend and young kids all over the Yakima Valley want to know when is that Easter Egg Hunt happening!

The Valley Mall in Union Gap has a couple of fun activities planned for the kiddos.

They are hosting a "Drive-Thru Easter Egg Hunt" from 11 am to 1 pm (while supplies last) on Friday, April 2nd. If you can imagine about 800 Easter eggs being given away, then you can imagine yourself "hopping" in the car and heading down to the mall. Be prepared for long lines, as the cars will be lined up in a lane near the Sears parking lot.

If you are new to the area, just know that this neck of the woods doesn't mess around when it comes to our egg hunts. Hundreds of kids and their parents will get in line early just for the chance at some great candy and prizes in those Easter treats. The Valley Mall says on their Facebook page that out of the 800 eggs, 8 of them will contain a special "Golden Egg". Who knows what kind of goodies will be inside it? They reveal that "5 lucky winners will win $20 gift cards, 2 will win $50 gift cards and one grand prize winner will receive a $100 Valley Mall Gift Card!"

If you are looking for a cute Easter outfit for your daughter, she might like to do what my 10-year old, Willow, did. She went to Claire's Accessories inside the mall and bought a set of matching bunny ears, hand warmers, a skirt with a rabbit cottontail, and a coordinating Easter basket. She calls it her "Easter Bunny Outfit". It's really cute, I must admit.

Your son might look extra dashing for the Easter holiday by getting a cool-looking suit inside Kohls, Macy's, or Children's Place inside the mall.
