America! Land of the free and home of the brave. We might have some issues in our Country, just like everyone else but if you want to become a member of the United States keep it here.

The Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic sees the need and wants to help. The 501-3C non-profit is offering citizenship classes that will be held in Toppenish, Washington beginning Tuesday, September 24th.

The cost is $30 is and taught by instructor Maria Hernandez who has mentioned that their have been 30 to 25 people who have successfully received citizen ship since she began teaching the class!

"That person that gets to become a U.S. citizen, you know gets to tell another person and so on and so on," said Hernandez. "The fact of them bringing me more people is a benefit for me and for themselves."

She said they hope they can get more people to sign up for the class. "There's a lot of people out there that think that because they don't know how to read or write it is not for them. It is not exactly like that. It is basic English that you need to learn," said Hernandez.

The class will be 10 weeks offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm and will be held at the Conference Center at the Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic
