Warren Brown, age 60, was allergic to insect stings and was not carrying an epinephrine injector* when he was chopping down a pile of firewood in Cle Elum the other day.

According to a report from the Kittitas County Sheriff's department, Brown accidentally chopped his way into a hornets' nest and released dozens of hornets, which stung him to death.

Our deepest sympathies and thoughts go out to the family and friends of Mr. Warren Brown.
