Foodie Friday's is powered by Coca-Cola of Yakima and Tri-Cities.

Each New York Teriyaki and Burgers is run by a different family so this particular location is located at 210 S. 72nd Ave in Yakima.
Open 11 am to 8:30 pm Monday through Saturday I am SO happy they are open and serving up even better food than I remember.
The hubs and I have been enjoying this dine-in or take-out spot for many years but at the very beginning of the pandemic, it was touch and go. Either they were super busy or closed every time I called. Can you blame them? No one really what was happening. Thank goodness they've made it through and going in yesterday after so long I noticed a few new additions.
The Outdoor Patio
When you drive up you'll notice some gorgeous potted plants and plenty of seats outside to enjoy some fresh air, if you choose.
Indoor Sushi Bar
Normally when you walk in you can hear the hustle and bustle in the back but never witness the magic of a sushi roll being prepared. Now, you totally can! They have added a little nook that features all the fresh fish laid out on the ice and a chef right here whipping up the goods!
Decor
I'm pretty sure the walls have always been decorated like this, I mean it's called New York Teriyaki and Burgers for a reason. The scenes across the interior feature the New York City skyline. Everything looks brighter, fresher, and full of greenery that makes this spot feel like an upgraded version of what I remember.
The Food
The hub's go-to is a double order of chicken for his chicken teriyaki. Cooked to juicy perfection, the grill marks provide that extra flavor. The rice is soft and perfect to sop up the sweet teriyaki juice and it's piled high for fantastic leftovers. I LOVE grabbing a few bites.
My order is pretty much the same but this time I noticed it's bigger and better than ever. It's called a spider roll. Fresh soft shell crab fried and rolled with rice, seaweed, avocado, and cucumber. Pre-pandemic it was a nice sized. Mid-pandemic I felt it was fat but not as much overall and NOW. OMG! This roll was amazing. The last section was incredible. Every bite was just what I was looking for. I also grab gyoza and seaweed salad. The order comes with miso soup as well.
The next time you are searching for sushi, a burger, bento, and more. This is for sure a spot you should check out. Order ahead to pick up or grab a seat at a wide variety of tables. There's plenty of space for everyone, so come one, come all!
