In the mid-'90s, General Mills released a spin-off of Cinnamon Toast Crunch called 'French Toast Crunch.' They were bread-shaped cereal bits with the taste of cinnamon and maple syrup. I absolutely loved them as many did. It was discontinued in the U.S. back in 2006, but there was enough of a public outcry to bring it back. Now, General Mills has sent me a box of it, for ol' times sake.

When I saw I had a package from General Mills, I kind of freaked out, to be honest. Could it be that I had, in my possession, an advanced box of cereal before it was on store shelves? When I opened the box, sure enough, there it was. Not a prop, but an honest-to-goodness box of my beloved cereal.

I could just eat the whole thing all at once, but I want to share it, too.

In the meantime, be on the lookout for its arrival on store shelves by mid-January.

First it was Surge, then French Toast Crunch -- what other product or item of your youth would you like to see again?
