A big 2026 FIFA World Cup party in Yakima at Sozo Sports Complex for fans, including a Fan Zone & Free family-friendly fun (plus a beer garden) is coming this June. Judging by the poll I did a few months back, 90% of people who read the article plan to attend one of these events!
Beginning in just a few short weeks, fans can get giveaways and watch the matches live.

Come for the FIFA, Stay for the Fun
I've been to a few backyard barbecues and dance parties where some of the guests were talking about how they had signed up in the ticket lottery to attend one of the FIFA games in Seattle. One of them even got chosen, but when they found out how much the tickets were, they felt indecisive about spending that much money on tickets for their entire family to go.
I checked out Ticketmaster to see how much tickets are for the Belgium vs. Egypt FIFA World Cup game on June 15th in Seattle (they are over $500 a piece)
Yakima is one of nine other Washington towns hosting free FIFA watch parties for the World Cup. Other cities with Fan Zones for the matches include Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Olympia, Spokane, Tacoma, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver.
I've already signed up for the Mexico vs. Korea Republic and USA vs. Australia matches. I'm excited because I've never been to a professional soccer match before, let alone a FIFA Fan Zone!
It's free to attend but the City of Yakima says FIFA organizers are gently asking everyone to register for a space for the day you plan to go. You can either reserve a ticket through the Fan Zone link or choose one of the four Fan Zone options below. Sozo Sports Complex is located at 2200 S 36th Avenue in Yakima.
