'Stepping' is a form of dance that uses the whole body as an instrument, mixing polyrhythmic beats where the stage and performers are also the instruments! Step Afrika! was founded in 1994 and has been bringing the beat and energy to audiences around the world, making them one of the top 10 African American dance companies on Earth!

Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities; traditional West & Southern African dances; and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience.

Step Afrika! will be performing two shows at the Yakima Capitol Theatre. Thursday, March 21st and Friday, March 22nd. Shows start at 7:30 pm with tickets starting at $20. You can purchase tickets at CapitolTheatre.org.
