Her Childhood Passion

It's was back when tape starting coming out with bold patterns and bright colors. She was busy making wallets, purses, backpacks, and more. Training without realizing for the day she could create a tape piece and compete for a $10,000 scholarship! Talk about thinking outside the box!

Why She's My Women Crush Wednesday

Not only is Larissa Leon a talented, well-spoken junior from Sunnyside High School. She is also a positive influence on those around her. In my first interview with her, she mentioned how if she didn't make the top 10 that wasn't going to stop her from creating OR voting! She said, "If I don't make it I still want people to go pick their favorite and vote! Someone is still going to win and everyone worked so hard." She also mentioned how important it was to fill out all kinds of scholarships. If you're not a big fan of essay writing like Larissa, she mentioned there are scholarships out there for just about everything. Just apply because you never know!
