Macy’s is Closing Stores — Is Yakima’s Macy’s Safe?

Macy's announced it's closing a few stores and laying off some 5,000 employees. What does this mean for the Yakima store?

As it turns out, Yakima's Macy's location is safe. Here are the stores that are closing.

The Oaks, Gainesville, Fla.

Novato (Furniture), Novato, Calif.

Honey Creek Mall, Terre Haute, Ind.

Birchwood Mall, Fort Gratiot Township, Mich.

Fountain Place, Cincinnati

Burlington Town Center, Burlington, Vt.

So, thus far, we're safe.
