Even in wax form, Nicki Minaj is surrounded by controversy. The rapper's wax figure at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is at the center of some very inappropriate behavior by touchy-feely fans.

After The Pinkprint creator's wax statue was unveiled earlier this month, the pose Madame Tussauds chose to highlight was a bit of a shock considering she's on all fours -- a shot from her booty-loving "Anaconda" video. Artists like Azealia Banks expressed her disdain for the degrading look of the wax figure while Nicki on the other hand loved it. "All ppl are gonna do is go up to that statue and take pictures shoving their crotch in her face and putting their crotch on her butt," Banks tweeted.

Well, the outspoken rhymer was right. Thanks to social media, the world got to see one male fan in particular showcase his appreciation for Nicki Minaj's wax self in a most disrespectful manner -- by posing for a photo behind her derriere and grabbing her hair. Take a look at the surprising image below.

There have been countless other images on social media of Barbz sharing their affection for wax Nicki by hugging her, which the rapper herself showcased on her own Instagram page, but none as defiling as this.

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas issued a statement about the photo, which has gone viral.

"We have been made aware of the inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj's wax figure. Madame Tussauds attractions are interactive, immersive experiences, and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figures. It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologise [sic] for any offense this has caused. We do have staff monitoring guest behaviour [sic] in the attraction and do our utmost to ensure our wax figures are treated respectfully, but on this occasion clearly one of our hosts was not present," reads the statement.

The museum chain promised to take immediate steps to ensure that more staff would be present around Nicki's wax figure so no further incidents can occur. Critics even chimed in on the matter, even going as far as to say it should be removed from Madame Tussauds. "They might as well just remove that Nicki Minaj wax figure. That’s the only way people will stop posing with it, lmao," one tweeted.

Looks like people should listen to Azealia Banks more often.
