The comedy scene in the Yakima Valley has been growing in the past few years. Just about every month or every other month, there is a comedy show somewhere. But a few nights a week, there are open-mic comedy nights when comedians can work on their material. Or for some, they can just try and tell a few jokes.

Here in Yakima, there are a couple of places where local and nationally touring comedians can work on their set of jokes. All they need is people to come to laugh and have a drink.

The best thing about these open-mic shows in Yakima? They're free to attend. Drinks and food are available to support the bar.

So if you need a good laugh or want to try to do some stand-up comedy, sign-ups are at 7:30 p.m. and shows start at 8 at these locations in Yakima. Just a word of warning: some of the comics may have mature content.
