Yakima’s Annual ‘Record Store Day’ Is Coming Up In April

When I first moved to Yakima, everyone told me that I had to make a visit to Off The Record, Yakima's only true record store. I have visited there many times to pick up old cassette tapes (Bruce Hornsby, The Police) and searched for several jams of the past (Jamiroquai, Madonna), and came away feeling nostalgic yet brand new at the same time.

This April, the famed music store will join in the celebration of record stores across the country with its annual "Record Store Day."

Expect amazing performances by local bands including headliner Shoot Jake, Bad Habit, Audra Belt, Pastel Motel, Indigo Kidd, Josh Hope and NoGraves.

The event begins at noon April 16 in the parking lot of the store, 901 Summitview Ave., No. 180.
