Seize the Dining Deal Of the Week: HOPTOWN WOOD-FIRED PIZZA
Seize the Deal Yakima's next dining deal is to Hoptown Wood-Fired Pizza.
With pizza names like "Second Harvest", and "Porky Pine", your mouth is going to enjoy a full explosion of flavor.
The farm families that started Hoptown Wood-Fired Pizza have been around the Valley for a hundred years and they care deeply for farmers. The Cascade hops have even been used to add depth and savory notes to their pizza crusts, fresh from the family farm.
Lori Roy joined together with Carrie Wright to make Hoptown Wood-Fired Pizza a very popular place to have a happy and hoppy community space to enjoy wood-fired pizza with family and friends in the Valley.
The EMMA GUERITA PIZZA
The "Emma Guerita' is a classic Margherita-style pizza. It is named after the mother, daughter, and granddaughter of the Roy Family, who all have the name Emma.
The HOP DADDY PIZZA
The #1 best-selling pizza from the girls of Hoptown Wood-Fired Pizza is the Hop Daddy pizza. The Roy Family patriarch had the nickname "Daddy Hops", so this pizza is named after him.
HOPS ON TOP
The crust recipe has been around for 20 years! They sprinkle some of the tasty Cascade hops on top of the crusts for another level of taste bud delight.
If you want to try something new, get a LOCAL LOCO pizza, named after co-owner Carrie Wright. It changes seasonally, and customers love discovering the latest ingredient pairings.
If you want to taste a new cider, get the "Frisky Seester", named after Janet, one of the 6 sisters (seester) in the Hoptown Wood-Fired Pizza partnership.
Vegetarians love the Second Harvest pizza. Gluten-free pizza crusts are available, too.
ELOTE DIP
I couldn't get enough of the Elote dip. It climbs up to the edge of spicy, but doesn't cross the precipice of stinging the back of your throat! I would give it a spice level of 2.5, if you are wondering how spicy it is.
CHICKEN WINGS
If you love wings, you'll love the ones here. They are special because they are wood-fired, just like the pizzas!
DONALD'S PEACH SUNDAE
40 years ago, there was a peach sundae at McDonald Mercantile that was so good, customers would drive up from Seattle, Oregon, and other towns all across Washington state just to get one. Hoptown Wood-Fired Pizza learned the recipe straight from Paul and Amy, who owned McDonald Mercantile.
I had one bite of it and fell in love. It was the best tasting vanilla ice cream I've ever had, no, seriously! The sweet peaches used in the Peach Sundae are harvested from Valicoff.
"We work very hard to make sure we offer the freshest ingredients, and we support our local craft beers, cider, and wine in the community." - Lori Roy
