My wife was in Tri-Cities over the weekend and brought back some french macarons for me. These aren't the fluffy, coconut macaroon cookies that are usually called macaroons but these are a light, flavorful, delicate cookie I was fascinated with for years. Growing up, Almond Roca was the fanciest candy I knew.
