‘Who Ya Gonna Call?’ Is the Townsquare Media Yakima Building HAUNTED? (Yes, yes it is!)
Is the Townsquare Media Yakima building haunted? A few of our employees say yes, yes, it is! I had the trippiest adventure at work the other day and you won't believe it. I was invited to go along on a paranormal expedition AT OUR OFFICE.
I recently told my friend Sol, a paranormal investigator who lives here in Yakima, that I've heard from a few coworkers that our Townsquare Media Yakima building is reportedly haunted.
Creepy, Eerie Things Have Been Reported at Our Radio Station Building
Some of us have reported "shadow figures" seen walking down the hallway, button handles being moved on a studio mother board when no one else was in the building, strange creaking footstep sounds coming from the ceiling at night, and creepy, eerie presences being felt in a few of the rooms.
Sol and Blake thought it would be an awesome idea to explore our Townsquare building, so I came along for the ride!
Get on the Bus, the Paranormal Bus
If you haven't heard of Blake, he's the owner of the DarkBus Paranormal account on TikTok. He and his team explore houses, buildings, churches, bars, restaurants, you name it, to seek out any paranormal activity, i.e. ghosts. They recently investigated the Selah Mining Company restaurant, too!
Sol has joined Blake on a few live streaming trips in the Midwest, and I've watched some of them as they happened.
Ghost Bustin' Tools of the Trade
They brought in cat balls that turn RED when touched, the Estes Method, which uses a blindfold and headphones that pick up any messages coming through from "the other side", and a few other tools that all the professional paranormal investigators use, like EMF detectors and REM pods.
Blake also brought in Jane, an allegedly haunted porcelain doll he found in a shop in Montana or Utah or one of those upper Midwest states. She has been reported to changed expressions and appear in places that she wasn't placed!
Jane the Haunted Porcelain Doll didn't appear to move during our expedition; judging from her expression below, she did however, seem pretty stoked to visit the radio station here in Yakima. (Notice the EVP cat ball in this pic is RED!!)

The Haunted Spaces of the Townsquare Media Yakima Building
When the three of us walked into the 107.3 KFFM studio, we all suddenly felt overcome with a deep sadness; it felt like a VERY HEAVY presence on our chests! That was wild!
They next had me sit down in a chair in the studio and put on a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. I could hear random digital radio frequencies through the headphones, but I could not hear any conversations in the room. They asked me to tell them any word or words that stood out from all the other static noise I was hearing inside the headphones.
All of this was all happening live on TikTok mind you. Little did I know that Blake and Sol were asking out loud if there were any spirits present in the room or building with us. Turns out, Sol and Blake were asking if the spirit presence was male or female, how old they were, and what message did they have for us.
Lady.
Espanol.
57.
Those were the words that jumped out to me.
Personally, I think it was possibly the ghost of a 57-year-old lady who just wanted to hear some Spanish party music. Me, too, lady, me, too!
We also felt strange and creepy presences in the 1280 NewsTalk KIT studio, a spare room downstairs that contained all of the old station equipment that no longer worked, and in the basement boiler room--a room I have never stepped foot in since the day I moved to Yakima some twenty-five years ago!
We also heard really strange noises in the HR and Accounting room while we were in there. It creeped us out!
You can watch all of Blake's paranormal investigations on his TikTok channel.
