There was once a time when drive-in theaters were a viable option for something to do on the weekend. Simple concept: Fill your car with family and friends (even better if you have a truck), park and watch a movie. Almost always a double feature. I remember we had at least two in Yakima when I was growing up. We had one on Nob Hill Boulevard, where Apple Valley Dental is now, and another on Fruitvale Boulevard, if I remember correctly. Sad to find out that there are only just over 300 drive-in theaters in the whole United States as of 2014.

Washington still has five drive-in theaters. Here's where you can find them.
