America's favorite daredevil, the late Evel Knievel, made a pit stop in Yakima in an attempt to jump 13 Pepsi trucks at the Yakima Speedway. Do you think he made it?

He had a pretty heavy motorcycle and even he had second thoughts on if he could make it or not, but nothing was going to stop him. As he said in this video,

"I went ahead and did it anyway. When you give your word to somebody that you're going to do something, you've gotta do it."

So, for the sake of the promotion and for the fans, he went for it.

It looks like he pretty much made it, too. It's that landing that tossed him around like a rag doll.

The Butte, Mont., native was known for doing stunts like this. His most notorious one was probably his 1974 attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon at Twin Falls, Idaho.

Sometimes he'd make it but often he wouldn't. His trademark leather jumpsuit and helmet made him a celebrity.

I don't think we'll ever see stuntmen like this ever again. Maybe it's for the better.
