Join the ‘Central City Cosplayers’ for Free Comic Book Day’ at ‘Ron’s Coin & Collectibles’ May 2

Saturday (May 2) is nationally recognized as 'Free Comic Book Day.' Comic book stores around the country are participating -- if you stop by their store you'll get a free comic book! Ron's Coin and Collectibles and the Central City Cosplayers are taking it one step further by offering you a chance to score some free prizes, including free admission to Yakima's Central City Comic Con which is coming up in October.

You'll find some people in fantastic, movie-quality costumes. Photos are encouraged. They'll be there from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. They'll also be holding a 'Golden Ticket' giveaway that could net you free tickets to Central City Comic Con -- check inside your free comics to see if you've won.

If you're a cosplayer or have a great costume, you're also encouraged to join in the fun and show up in costume.

Ron's Coin and Collectibles has been a Yakima staple for comics and comic book-related items for as long as I've been around. Joe Mann (the unofficial mayor of downtown Yakima) has found a way to preserve his youth as much as he has his collectibles. He looks exactly the same as he did when I was a kid going into his store to buy my comics and video games.
