When my wife and I meet new people, the question eventually arises on what we do (for a living). I tell them I work here and my wife stays home with the kids. For no reason what-so-ever we have to explain that she stays at home mostly for financial reasons because day care for 3 kids, one with special needs, would be way too expensive so we're actually saving money by having my wife stay home. Is this you, too?

Of course my wife gets stir crazy being at home all day, chasing after the kids after they come home from school. To make matters worse for her, when I come home the last thing I want to do is go anywhere. But it is nice that she's home with them during the day. We don't have to worry about after school programs or day care or things of that nature. My mom was a stay-at-home mom when I was growing up and loved having it that my mom was home all the time, although she probably didn't care much for it.
