Pain from dealing with my kid trying to get out of going to school almost every single day!

Pain from having a sore back from carrying the weight of the world on my freaking shoulders!

Pain from dealing with an ex who is not present in my child's life the way I would love him to be!

Pain from working hard and not being able to play just as hard!

What single mamas living in Yakima need are more love. Love from their kids by doing their chores when they are asked, and without the extra lip! Love from the mailman so he can stop delivering all those bills (haha)! Love from lunch dates who don't cancel on them at the last minute. Love from babysitters who can drive themselves to and from their house to watch the kids every once in a while. Although I will say, nowadays, if you book a teenage babysitter, their parents are so sweet and actually don't mind driving their kids over to babysit!

I would also like some more love from the folks at the corner store who is OLD ENOUGH to ring up my wine purchases. Having somebody yell over the intercom, "CODE 21! CODE 21!" is kind of embarrassing, not to mention time-consuming when the store manager was on a break and has to come out to the front register and ring up my bottom-shelf, cheap ol' red wine blend! That poor manager! If I had a dollar every time a store manager tells the under-age clerk, "I wish you would hurry up and turn 21!" I'd be a RICH YAKIMAMA. I could open up my own winery even. In fact, I have told this to many a-clerk at Walgreens, that when I finally get my own wine label, I'm calling it "CODE 21!"

I hope that in 2022, each and every one of you single mamas (and every tired single dads) get the chance to hire a babysitter, enjoy some overdue "ME TIME", take a soft, relaxing bubble bath with candles lit on the counter whilst listening to some smooth jazz (or whatever relaxing music floats your boat). I also hope you can indulge yourself in some great massage therapy. Here are a few of my local recommendations to TREAT YO SELF.
