Macklemore Involved In Head-On Collision In Langley, WA
Macklemore and his two friends are very lucky to be alive after being involved in a car accident in Langley, WA (that's about a three and a half hour drive from Yakima)!
On Friday, July 28th, in the 10pm hour, Ben Haggerty, better known as rapper, songwriter and singer Macklemore, was driving in his car with two of his friends. A man driving a Chevrolet pick-up truck drove over the center line and collided with Macklemore's Mercedes head-on.
The driver of the truck was knocked unconscious. He was revived on the scene and and taken to a local hospital, where he was issued a blood alcohol test. According to Billboard.com, the unidentified man, however, was not booked at the Island County Jail. Macklemore and his two friends suffered minor injuries and did not have to go to the hospital.
The driver of the pick-up truck was not arrested for DUI, however Billboard reports that Island County prosecutors have sent a referral for some sort of driving infractions.
Macklemore has not been active on his Twitter page, but he has been posting on his Instagram since the incident and has not released any statements through a spokesperson, so it's safe to presume that he and his friends are doing okay.
